１ There is a (an) 単数名詞 ＋前置詞＋場所.
ひとつしかないときは is を使います｡
自然と歴史，文化が織りなす滋賀県には，満々と水をたたえた湖があります。
There is a large lake in Shiga.
Its name is Lake Biwa.
It is the largest one in Japan.
「滋賀県には大きな湖がある」のように，「どこかに何かがあること」を言い表すには，
There is ～ という表現を使います。
この場合のthereには「そこに」という意味はなく,
There is ～ でまとまって「～がある」（人間や動物なら「～がいる」）という意味を表します。
There is ～ の文には「････に～がある（いる）」というように場所を示す語句をつけます。

２ 否定文－ｂｅ動詞のうしろにｎｏｔ！
There is not a lake in Ueno Zoo. 上野動物園に湖はありません。
There are not any koalas in Ueno Zoo. 上野動物園にコアラはいません。
否定文「～がありません」は
There is not a(n) --- . または There are not --- .
となります。
※ 複数形の名詞の前につくsomeは,疑問文・否定文ではanyになることに注意しましょう。
合言葉は【サムコウ，エニギヒ】--- some－コウ（肯）, any－ギヒ（疑・否）。
